Amla is a tree of the euphorbiaceae family commonly called "Indian or Nepalese currant". It indeed bears fruits that resemble currants but does not however belong to the same species. Amla is a tree renowned for its longevity and has been used for hundreds of years in Indian tradition. As such, it is involved in many preparations, the most famous of which is Chyawanprash, a kind of jam consumed by millions of Indians.
Take 1/2 tablet per day.
